Manager of the Russian fighter of the mixed style (MMA) fighter Habib Nurmagomedov, Ali Abdel-Aziz rejected the idea of a rematch between his client and the Irishman Conor McGregor. His words are quoted by ESPN.
“Except that this fight can go on the street. McGregor needs to do something incredible to win this fight, you know?” said Abdel-Aziz in an interview with reporters during the tournament, the ultimate fighting championship (UFC) in Houston. He also said that McGregor “crossed the line” ahead of their clash with Nurmagomedov in October 2018.
However, the head of the UFC Dana white has already announced plans to take McGregor the winner of the confrontation between the American Tony Ferguson and Nurmagomedov. Their fight will take place on April 19 in Brooklyn.
19 Jan McGregor returned to the octagon. In the duel at Welterweight Irish 40 seconds knocked out the American fighter Donald Serrone. Then white spoke positively about the probable rematch McGregor vs Nurmagomedov.
In October 2018 Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor and retained the title of the champion of UFC in the lightweight division. Because of the involvement of soldiers in riots after the match both athletes have been suspended.
McGregor is a former champion of UFC in two weight categories.
