They are half made from recycled materials
Nike introduced the Nike Flyknit Air VaporMax 2020, developed on the principles of sustainable design. Model less than 50% recycled content and continues the conceptual design sneakers for Space Hippie.
Nike Air Flyknit VaporMax 2020 has a number of environmental and functional advantages over earlier models.
First, a full-sized pillow VaporMax Air on 75% recycled content. Also, the Flyknit fabric is 67% made out of recycled industrial waste and other recycled materials, including plastic bottles. Ortholite footbed with increased density, the tongue insert on the heel and toe made from recycled materials. Finally, the composition of the sole includes recycled rubber Nike Grind.
