Wenger revealed the truth about the negotiations with “Bavaria”

French coach Arsene Wenger spoke about the talks with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Bavaria” Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. About this 70-year-old told Bein Sports.

According to Wenger, Rummenigge contacted him before the game, the Bavarian club against Olympiacos in the Champions League on 6 November.

“This is a true story: I asked if I was ready to become coach of Bayern. I admitted I don’t think anything about it, because I need time to think. Agreed that we’ll talk again early next week,” said Wenger.

The message about the negotiations between the club and the Frenchman appeared on 7 November. It was noted that the management of Munich sees Wenger as a replacement for Niko Kovac. The contract with the latter was terminated by mutual consent after a crushing defeat of “Bavaria” in the match against “Eintracht” with the score 1:5.

Wenger is currently without a club. Last place of work as a mentor for him was Arsenal. He led the club since 1996, three times winning the championship of England.
