Why develop creativity and how to stay in self-improvement

Ability to think creatively is necessary for all of us.

What are you talking about?

This is the last post of the series “How to develop creativity.” Today will summarize the results and the mood of myself and you further. Other way: read the post till the end and you will understand what I mean.

Here are all the tools for the development of creativity mentioned in the series:

What are the tools?

A huge number of them, but there are only two basic types: those that lead to positive change (for example, the solution of your task), and others.

Seven tools that I just shared with you is only a small part of a large set to solve complex problems. In my blog about the methods of development of creativity I have gathered 50 of tools, my goal is 101, this is not the limit.

Some you’ll like, some not so much, but you never know, they’re appropriate, if not I’ll try in practice. Therefore, each published on Lifehacker of the series ends with a practical task.

If you carry out these tasks and have all turned out fantastic. If something is not understood, or have questions, please contact me. If you want to continue to develop, read on.

Why is it important to develop creativity?

There are many reasons to learn to think outside the box and maintain flexibility of thinking. The most important of them, in my opinion, is the fourth industrial revolution and the advent of artificial intelligence.

People stepped on a path that will not allow us to remain what we now are lazy, just consuming good, procrastinitis. We need to change in order to re-invent their role to remain relevant to each other.

We have to be better than perfect algorithms that have already begun to displace people with usual jobs.

And if you’re thinking that it’s not about you, it was a distant and unlikely outcome, I’m not going to argue. Thank you that has read this far. Yet.

But if you understand and feel the approaching danger, then it’s time to make a change: train the brain to learn to think abstractly, systematically, critically, and rationally. Time to learn to think.

Many States do not are interested to learn to think of its citizens. Most people are not taught the proper way of thinking to their children, because they’re not conscious of such a need. No one will help you except yourself.

I’m not afraid, I have no such goal. I wish people learned to think.

Okay, I get it. I want to develop further, something to read?

How to start working on the development of creative thinking?

If you are reading this, you’ve already started. Make today is only one step — compose simple plan:

  • Choose a convenient format: book, course or TED talk.
  • Take a separate notebook or Notepad for taking notes, you can use Google Docs or Notepad on your phone. Write down your thoughts is imperative!
  • Write down how much time per day you are willing to spend on development. You can start with 10-15 minutes (TED talks, you can filter by time, private lessons on Coursera last no more than 10 minutes, the book can be read on timer).
  • Write what everyday life you refuse to learn new things. Examples: I will not in the evenings to sit in social networks, will abandon the series, shut down phone, not to chat until you’re blue, and so on. Well, you know, where you go time.
  • Start today, ideally right now.
  • How to continue and not quit?

Here are some tips, but motivation is very complicated. Something that works for you is good, and some not at all. It is necessary to try.

  • If you start to write down my thoughts and think about the material, it will be easier. Even if something is not clear to you, write down what it is. Think about it, then you will be able to return.
  • Helps the participation of someone of your friends or acquaintances. Find likeminded people and start at the same time, agree that each prepares a brief presentation on the studied material, and then it is. So it will be easier. You can take one material, and then have the opportunity to immediately discuss the incomprehensible, and it is possible to study different topics and then tell each other what they have learned.
  • Find the curator and ask him to push you.
  • Ask mom to be your “coach”. And my mom is nice and cool you.
  • Thanks and a poll

Thank you, that was with me these two months. I really hope that you have found useful and effective for themselves personally or for their business.

I have a habit to get feedback on what I’m doing. Complete a small survey about the quality of the materials, it takes less than three minutes. Thank you.
