Andre Leon telly told about the major black designers

The key images that have become icons, can now be seen in a virtual exhibition

In a Network there was a virtual version of the exhibition “Black fashion designers” with audio guide Andre Leon telly. The exhibition was first presented by the Technological Museum of the fashion Institute (FIT) in Manhattan in 2017.

At the exhibition you can see 75 images created by more than 60 designers over the last 80 years. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Andre Leon telly called the main black contemporary designers.

Among them is Ann Lowe, author of the wedding dress Jacqueline Kennedy; Stephen burrows and Scott Barrie silhouettes defined the disco era; Laquan Smith are a fan of Lady Gaga and Serena Williams; Kirby Jean-Raymond, designer Pyer Moss; Christopher John Rogers, which is Michelle Obama.

Recall that Andre Leon telly released a memoir “The Chiffon Trenches”, in which he shared the difficulties and problems in the fashion industry. He talked about racism, bodyshaping, the ageism, child injury Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour cruelty.
